Lykkeis an AI learning companion for high school and college students. It uses your notes, files and Canvas courses to explain what you're stuck on, quiz you before tests, make study guides and pick up where you left off. Free for students, and it never submits your coursework.

About Lykke
Lykke answers from your own class first and shows which notes or files it used. It makes quizzes, flashcards, study guides and simulations, and Luca, the video tutor, teaches out loud as he draws. Educators can build or adapt courses and see what their class is asking about.
The Lykke Extension for Canvas: What It Syncs and What It Never Does
The Lykke extension for Chrome reads your Canvas courses so Lykke can plan your week and write prep for what's due. It never writes anything back to Canvas.
How to set it up
Install the extension. It's free on the Chrome Web Store, listed as Lykke Knowledge Companion. It runs in Chrome on a computer. On a phone, the same link lets you send it to your computer.
Sign in to Lykke in the extension. Use the account you use on the web, so your courses come to that account.
Choose your school and open its Canvas. Sign in to Canvas as usual. The Lykke panel appears once you're in.
Pick your courses and press "Sync now".
After that first sync, it refreshes when you open Canvas, at most every two days. Only the extension syncs; the Lykke website can't.
What it reads
Your courses, assignments, announcements, modules, files, the class list and each course's calendar. The extension reads them with your own Canvas session, in your browser. Lykke's servers never sign in to Canvas on their own.
Files and the class list you sync are shared with other Lykke students in that Canvas class, including anyone who audits it.
What Lykke does with it
The week plan. Every dated assignment this week with Lykke's time estimate, spread across the days, plus the notes and files to use for each. It's planned when you open Lykke.
Morning prep. Questions on what's due in the next 7 days, each quoting the assignment or course material it came from, ready at the time you pick.
Drive. Canvas files arrive already filed in class folders.
Ask Lykke. It answers questions about your own notes, like "What did BIO 201 announce this week?"
ChatGPT and Claude. On Luminary, a connected AI can read your synced Canvas courses, assignments, announcements and files, and what's due soon. It can't write to Canvas either. How to connect one.
What it never does
It never submits an assignment, enters a quiz or exam answer, or posts to a discussion. It only ever asks Canvas for data, and nothing in Lykke can write to Canvas. The house rules say how we know.
How to remove what you synced
In Lykke, open Settings → Canvas. You can remove one course you synced, or clear all your Canvas data: your files from those courses, your place in their classes and everything imported. Canvas itself isn't changed.
Connect Canvas
Sign in, and the Canvas page shows each step, from installing the extension to your first sync. Connect Canvas, free.
